These Use Agreements allow the County to maintain, manage, and use these facilities to expand its recreational offerings while giving the school system the first priority of facility use. The Parks and Recreation Trust Fund requires a twenty-five (25) year agreement to be eligible for grant funds. Phase 1 will include playground, picnic shelter, restrooms, walking trail, and additional infrastructure for Phase 1 and future phases. Parks and Recreation is requesting to apply for $500,000 in grant funds requiring a dollar for dollar match from the County. The County currently has $739,400 allocated in the CIP for this project and a Land and Water Conservation Fund application was also submitted in 2024 for this project. The property is ~ 50-acres and is referenced by PIN # 1515-08-4063. Samet, the builder developer of Harnett 95 will be annexing their adjoining ~ 13.5-acres at the same time. The City of Dunn is waiving all associated fees with this annexation. Presently, the Harnett County Sheriff's Office has 56 Body camera, 60 in-car video systems deployed and will be adding additional Body cameras for Detention Officers in the future. Since March first, we have over 3500 Body Camera videos and over 4500 addition videos from in-car camera systems. Our policy requires that a percentage of these videos are reviewed by supervisors each month . This Lieutenant under immediate supervision, and while working independently, assists members of the Sheriff’s Office with creation and management of Evidence.com accounts, managing body worn camera equipment assignments, installing Evidence Transfer Management docks, replacing worn/and or damaged equipment, assist with training officers in the use of Evidence.com /Evidence Library and assist in the maintenance of body worn camera equipment. Assist officers and supervisors in the use and navigation of Evidence.com and Evidence Library to find specific video files, burn DVD’s, share files with officer’s and/or outside entities. Would be responsible for maintaining departmental body worn camera equipment to include Motorola WatchGuard In-Car Systems, Axon Body, Axon Fleet, Evidence Transfer Management docks, cables, mounts, and battery/controllers packs to include ensuring adequate supplies are on hand ensuring appropriate records are maintained, ensuring that all equipment is in working order.
