CANVASS MEETING
NOVEMBER 18, 2022
11:00 A.M.
Present were; Board Chairwoman Allison Fenderson, Secretary Lin Coker, Members: Betsy
McCormick, James Currin and Lewis Bell
Also Present were; Director Claire Jones, Deputy Director Shannon Cole and Election Specialist
Seth Lemon

Ms. Fenderson called the meeting to order at 11:00 am with a moment of silence and Pledge of
Allegiance.

Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from November 17, 2022. Mr. Coker moved to approve the
minutes. Mrs. McCormick seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
Mrs. Jones informed the Board that the precinct audits were complete and no issue affected any
results from any precinct. Voter history also matches the ballots cast exactly.
The mandatory random hand -eye count was performed on Thursday, November 10, by bi-
partisan teams. The precincts chosen were One -Stop Lillington and Election Day Stewarts Creek.
The hand count matched the DS200 machine count exactly.
Mrs. Jones informed the Board that they are able to complete Canvass even though there are two
pending protests. The Board will not issues certificates of election for the Sheriff contest until
those are settled.
The Board reviewed the Canvass reports. Mrs. McCormick moved to approve Canvass. Mr. Bell
seconded. Approved without dissent.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Currin moved to adjourn. Mr. Bell seconded. The
meeting adjourned at 11:27am.
The next meeting of the Board will be a Preliminary Consideration meeting on November 22,
2022 at 5:00 pm.
