ABSENTEE MEETING
NOVEMBER 1, 2021
5:00 P.M.
Present were; Board Chairwoman Allison Fenderson, Secretary Lin Coker, Members: Betsy
McCormick and Lewis Bell
Also Present were; Director Claire Jones and Deputy Director Claudette Williams
Also present: See sign in sheet
Ms. Fenderson called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from October 26. Mr. Bell moved to approve the minutes. Mr.
Coker seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
The Board reviewed the absentee list, attached hereto. There were 40 absentee ballots; 37 were
from One -Stop and three Absentee by mail. Mr. Coker moved to approve. Mr. Bell seconded.
Approved without dissent.
The Board verified the DS200 number began with the ending number from the previous week
(1). The three absentee by mail ballots were tabulated and the final count on the DS200 was four.
Mrs. Jones updated the Board of the following items:
• Absentee meeting at 5:00 on November 2, 2021
• Sample Hand -Eye count at 9:00am on November 4
• Visiting Election Day sites not prohibited, but not recommended by SBOE
• Redistricting due to County Board of Elections by November 17
The Board discussed a campaign finance complaint from Elizabeth Crudup Longman mentioned
during the public comment period. Mrs. Jones stated that the State Board of Elections handles
complaints.
