SPECIAL MEETING
JULY 21, 2020
4:00 P.M.
Present were; Board Chairman Tony Spears, Secretary Lin Coker, Members: Steve Blackburn,
Jim Currin and Betsy McCormick via telephone.
Also Present were; Director Claire Jones and Deputy Director Claudette Williams
Mr. Spears called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from July 7, 2020. Mr. Currin moved to approve the minutes.
Mr. Coker seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
The Board discussed amending the One -Stop, Early Voting plan due to space concerns at Erwin
Community Building. After some discussion Mr. Currin moved to adopt the following plan:
One -Stop Early Voting Locations
Harnett County Commons Area, 309 W. Cornelius Harnett Blvd, Lillington (in lieu of the BOE
office)
Western Harnett High School Gym, 10637 NC 27 W, Lillington
Erwin Parks and Recreation Gym, 810 S. 16th Street, Erwin
Angier Elementary School, 130 E. McIver St. Angier
Hours for all One -Stop Voting Locations
Weekdays, October 15 — October 30, 8:00 am - 7:30 pm
Saturdays, October 17, 24 and 31, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Sundays, October 18 and 25, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Mr. Blackburn seconded. Approved without dissent.
The next meeting of the Board will be a regular meeting on August 11 at 4:00 pm at the Harnett
County Board of Elections office.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Coker moved to adjourn. Mr. Blackburn seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 4:18 pm.
