PRE -ELECTION ABSENTEE MEETING
_ NOVEMBER 4, 2019
5:00 P.M.
Present were; Board Chairman Tony Spears, Secretary Joseph Powell, Members: Steve
Blackburn, Betsy McCormick and Lin Coker
Also Present were; Director Claire Jones and Deputy Director Claudette Williams
Mr. Spears called the meeting to order at 5:00pm with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the absentee minutes from October 29, 2019. Mrs. McCormick moved to
approve the minutes. Mr. Coker seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
The Board reviewed the list of absentee ballots, attached hereto. There were 14 one -stop voters
and zero absentee ballots by mail returned. After some discussion, Mr. Powell moved to approve
the absentee list. Mr. Blackburn seconded. Approved without dissent.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Blackburn moved to adjourn. Mr. Powell seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 5:10 pm.
The next meeting of the Board will be an Election Day Absentee meeting on November 5, 2019
at 5:00 pm.
