REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 2, 2018
4:00 P.M.
Present were; Board Chairman Don Schroeder, Vice -Chair Tony Spears, Secretary Steve
Blackburn and Member Joey Powell
Also present were; Director Claire Jones and Deputy Director Claudette Williams
Mr. Schroeder called the meeting to order at 4:00pm.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from September 4, 2018 and September 12, 2018. Mr. Powell
moved to approve the minutes. Mr. Spears seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
Mrs. Jones updated the Board on:
• Machine L&A testing October 3
• Mock Election October 4
• Make-up precinct worker training October 9
• 266 absentee ballot mailed to date
The Board discussed MAT team members, traffic at Johnsonville School and Election Day being
a regular school day for kids. Mrs. Jones stated that she would follow up with Johnsonville and
update the Board at the next meeting.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Blackburn moved to adjourn. Mr. Spears seconded. The
meeting was adj ourned at 4:3 6 pm.
The next meeting of the Board will be an Absentee meeting on October 16, 2018 at 5:00 pm.
