CANVASS MEETING
MAY 18, 2018
11:00 A.M.
Present were; Board Chairman Tony Spears, Vice -Chair Joseph Powell, Secretary Steve
Blackburn, Member Don Schroeder, Director Claire Jones and Deputy Director Claudette
Williams
Mr. Spears called the meeting to order at 11:18am.
Business:
Mrs. Jones submitted the precinct audits preformed and stated that all voter history matched
ballots cast. No major issues affected any results from any precinct. The mandatory random
hand -eye count was performed on Thursday May 10 by a bi-partisan team. The hand count
matched the machine count exactly. No protests or issues were pending that could delay
Canvass.
The Board reviewed the Canvass reports. After some discussion Mr. Powell moved to approve
Canvass. Mr. Blackburn seconded. Approved without dissent.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Blackburn moved to adjourn. Mr. Schroeder seconded.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:28 am.
_ The next meeting of the Board will be a Regular meeting on June 5, 2018 at 4:OOpm.
