ELECTION DAY ABSENTEE MEETING
NOVEMBER 7, 2017
5:00 P.M.
Present were; Board Chairman James Currin, Board Secretary Tony Spears, Board Member
Joseph Powell and Director Claire .tones
Mr. Currin called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from November 6, 2017. Mr. Spears moved to approve the
minutes. Mr. Powell seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
There were no additional absentee ballot to consider. The Board closed the One -Stop M 100
machine and signed the tapes. The results will be released at 7:30pm.
The Board discussed Election Day travels and issues, such as directional signs at Neill's Creek.
Mrs. Jones stated that they had some printer issues in the morning but was corrected and voting
was not affected. Mrs. Jones also informed the Board that there was a complaint of a uniformed
officer at Coats/Grove. The Chief Judge there talked to the person and suggested that they leave
or change clothes.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Powell moved to adjourn. Mr. Spears seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 5:33 pm.
The next meeting of the Board will be an Absentee/Provisional meeting, November 16, 2017 at
5:00 pm.
