REGULAR MEETING
JULY 18, 2017
12:00 P.M.
Present were; Board Chairman James Currin, Board Secretary Tony Spears, Board Member
Joseph Powell and Director Claire Jones
Also present were; Jean Sivoli, Democratic Chair and Steve Blackburn
Mr. Currin called the meeting to order at 12:00 pm.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from June 6, 2017. Mr. Spears moved to approve the minutes.
Mr. Powell seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
Mrs. Jones informed the Board and public that since the State Board of Elections has not been
appointed yet, the current County Board will carry over and there will be no swearing -in
ceremony. Once a new Board is appointed Mrs. Jones will notify every one of the new date for
the ceremony.
The Board reviewed the one -stop plans suggested by Mrs. Jones. The plans are as follows:
October 10, 2017
September 2 1 - October 6, Monday -Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm
Saturday October 7, 8:00 am until 1:00pm.
November 7, 2017
October 19- November 3, Monday -Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm
Saturday November 4, 8:00 am until 1:00 pm
After some discussion Mr. Powell moved to approve the One Stop plans for October and
November elections. Mr. Spears seconded. Approved without dissent.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Powell moved to adjourn. Mr. Spears seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 12:10 pm.
The next meeting of the Board will be the regular meeting on August 22, 2017 at 4:00 pm.
