ABSENTEE MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 7, 2016 5:00 P.M.
Present were Board Members; James Currin, Tony Spears, Joseph Powell, Director Claire Jones
and Deputy Director Claudette Williams.
Mr. Currin called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from June 6, 2016. Mr. Spears moved to approve the minutes.
Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
The Board closed the One -Stop M 100, printed and signed the tapes. The results will be released
at 7:30pm.
The Board reviewed the absentee list, attached hereto. Mr. Spears moved to approve the list. Mr.
Powell seconded. Approved without dissent. The Board opened the Absentee by Mail M 100 and
processed 123 ballots, closed the machine and printed the results. Nine military emailed ballots
were hand counted and added to the tapes. The results will be released at 7:30pm.
Mrs. Jones submitted to the Board numbered memos, 2016-09 and 2016-10 per request by the
State Board of Elections. The memos cover Provisional ballot processing and Canvass
procedures.
With no other business to discuss, Mr. Powell moved to adjourn. Mr. Spears seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 5:46 pm.
The next Board meeting will be an Absentee Meeting on June 14, 2016 at 10:30am, followed by
Canvass at 11:00am.
