ABSENTEE MEETING
SEPTEMBER 22, 2015
5:00 PM
Present were Board Members; .lames Currin, Tony Spears, Joseph Powell and Director Claire
Jones.
Mr. Currin called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from September 15, 2015. Mr. Spears moved to approve the
minutes. Mr. Powell seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
The Board reviewed the absentee list, attached hereto. To date, nine absentee ballots have been
mailed. Three ballots have returned and are to be approved. Mr. Spears moved to approve the
absentee list. Mr. Powell seconded. Approved without dissent.
Mr. Currin stated he appreciated everyone attending the Candidate Challenge Appeal concerning
the Dunn Mayor race on September 18 at the State Board.
Mrs. Jones reminded the Board that the State Board will hold another mock election for the
October Municipals on September 23 at 10:00 am.
One -Stop voting for Dunn and Erwin begins Thursday, September 24.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Powell moved to adjourn. Mr. Spears seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 5:17 pm.
The next meeting will be an Absentee Board meeting on September 29, 2015 at 5:00 pm,
followed by precinct worker training at 6:00 pm at the Lillington Community Building.
