REGULAR MEETING
April 7, 2015
4:00 P.M.
Present were Board Members; James Currin, Tony Spears, Joseph Powell and Director Claire
Jones.
Mr. Currin called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from March 3, 2015. Mr. Powell moved to approve the
minutes. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
Mrs. Jones summarized the information that was presented during the Election Directors'
Conference held March 30 and 31 in Winston Salem. Items discussed included:
• Process for purchasing voting equipment
• State Board mailing concerning photo ID
• Information on Town Charters
• Preparing for the Presidential Preference Election
• Reminder of open meeting laws
Mrs. Jones submitted a tentative 2015 calendar, attached hereto, for the Board to review. Mrs.
Jones stated that the calendar was not all-inclusive of all election related tasks. The regular Board
meeting date and time could also be changed by a vote of the Board at any regular meeting.
With no further business to discuss, Mr. Spears moved to Adjourn. Mr. Powell seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 4:23 pm.
The next board meeting will be a regular meeting on May 5, 2015 at 4:00 pm.
