REGULAR AND ABSENTEE MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 15, 2014
5:00 P.M.
Present were: Chairman James Currin, Secretary Tony Spears, Member Joseph Powell and
Director Claire Jones.
Mr. Currin called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes from March 4, 2014. Mr. Spears moved to approve the minutes.
Mr. Powell seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
The Board reviewed the poll book of absentee voters, attached hereto. Mr. Powell moved to
approve the absentee voters. Mr. Spears seconded. Approved without dissent.
Mrs. Jones presented to the Board the 2014 Primary One -Stop Implementation Plan approval
letter from the State, attached hereto.
Mrs. Jones updated the Board on the status of election preparations. All machines are working
properly and Poll workers are being assigned to precincts. Mrs. Jones stated that we would need
more Poll workers for the General Election. Mrs. Jones will contact the Party Chairs for
assistance.
With no other business to discuss Mr. Powell moved to Adjourn. Mr. Spears seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 5:25pm.
The next meeting of the Board is an absentee meeting on April 22, 2014 5:00p.m.
