Present were Board Members; James Currin, Tony Spears and Director Claire Jones. Mr. Currin called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. Minutes: The Board reviewed the minutes from September 3, 2013 and September 17, 2013. Mr. Spears moved to approve the minutes. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent. Business: The Board reviewed the list of absentee voters, attached hereto. Mr. Spears moved to approve the absentee voters. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent. Ms. Jones presented to the Board an acknowledgement to the amendment of the records and disposition schedule, attached hereto. Mrs. Jones clarified to the Board what the changes were and confirmed that the office will conform to the changes. Mr. Spears moved to sign the acknowledgement form. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent. l~ ,� Mrs. Jones updated the Board on the progress of the office to hold registration drives at the Harnett County high schools per the 2013 CITIZENS VOTER REGISTRATION AWARENESS MONTH. Two high schools have been visited (Triton and Star academy) and Harnett Central would be on September 25. The office will visit Overhills on September 30 and pick up forms from Western Harnett on September 30 as well. With no other business to discuss Mr. Spears moved to Adjourn. Mr. Currin seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 5 :20pm.
