MEETING MINUTES
June 5, 2012
11:00 a.m.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary James Currin and Member Louise Taylor.
Also present was Ted Halstead, Elections Director.
Chairman Massey called the meeting to order at 11:00am.
Business:
Mr. Massey suggested that the next BOE meeting be held on July 10, and noted that this would
require a public notice of the new meeting date. Mr. Currin moved to approve the new meeting
date. Mrs. Taylor seconded. The motion was approved unanimously.
Mr. Halstead reported that funding to lease new laptops as electronic pollbooks had not been
included in the county budget. Mr. Massey recommended that this decision be appealed if
possible. Mr. Halstead agreed to do so.
Mr. Halstead reported that absentee ballots had been distributed by the deadline for the July 17
second primary.
The next meeting of the Board will be on July 10, 2012, at 5 p.m.
Mr. Currin moved to adjourn. Mrs. Taylor seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
