ABSENTEE MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 27, 2011
5:00 P.M.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary James Currin and Member Louise Taylor.
Also present was Claire Jones, Sr. Administrative Assistant and Sherre Toler, Director.
Chairman Massey called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Business:
The Board reviewed the absentee poll book. There were 19 ballots mailed, 2 of which were
returned and 26 One -stop voters. Ms. Taylor moved to approve the list, attached hereto and
incorporated herein by this reference. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent.
The Board signed the letter to the State delegation regarding the HAVA Funds.
Ms. Toler updated the Board on the redistricting that was discussed at the County Commissioner
work session that was held at 3:00 on September 27. The commissioners voted to go forward
with a resolution to adopt the proposed map 2a. Ms. Toler believes it is unlikely that the school
board will choose the same map.
Poll worker training will be next Tuesday, October 4d' from 6:00 to 9:00.
The next meeting of the Board will be an absentee meeting on October 4 h, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.
Mr. Currin moved to adjourn. Ms. Taylor seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
