REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
June 1, 2011
11:30 A.M.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary James Currin and Member Louise Taylor.
Also present was Sherre Toler, Director.
Secretary Currin called the meeting to order at 11:35 a.m.
Minutes:
Mr. Currin moved to approve the minutes of May 4, 2011. Ms. Taylor seconded. Approved
without dissent.
Business:
Ms. Toler advised the Board that the voter signature project was underway. As of this date there
are 46,859 records out of approximately 62,000 that need to be scanned.
Ms. Toler showed the Board copies of the signage for the new building.
- Ms. Toler discussed ongoing budget meetings and the revised proposal reallocating the $19,704
that the State Board already paid for the maintenance fees.
Ms. Toler advised that she had a personnel issue that needs to be addressed in closed session.
Mr. Currin moved to go into closed session. Ms. Taylor seconded. Approved without dissent
The Board returned from closed session at approximately 11:50 a.m.
Mr. Currin expressed a desire to invite the parry chairs to the July regular meeting in order to
discuss poll workers. The Board directed Ms. Toler to contact each chair and invite them to the
meeting.
Ms. Toler discussed the swearing in of Board members on July 19, 2011 at noon. The Board
directed Ms. Toler to contact Dianne Hatley and ask her to conduct the swearing in ceremony.
At 12:00 p.m., the Board moved its meeting to the new building location for a tour. Mr. Currin
moved to adjourn at 12:15 p.m. Ms. Taylor seconded.
The next meeting of the Board will be its regular monthly meeting on July 6, 2011 at 11:30 a.m.
