REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
March 2, 2010
3:00 P.M.
Present were Secretary James Currin and Member Louise Taylor. Chairman Massey was unable
to attend.
Also present was Jennifer Slusser, Esq., Harnett County Staff Attorney, Dwight Snow, Esq.,
Harnett County Attorney and Sherre Toler, Director.
Secretary Currin called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Minutes:
Ms. Taylor moved to approve the minutes of January 12, 2010, February 2, 2010 and February
26, 2010. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
Mr. Currin and Ms. Taylor thanked the attorneys for attending the meeting, the purpose of which
was to meet and foster a working relationship with each other. Attorneys Slusser and Snow
thanked the Board for inviting them to the meeting and general discussion was had regarding
legal issues of the Board should the need arise in the future.
Ms. Toler advised that she had still not heard from the Department of Justice but had submitted
an amendment to the submission requesting the effective date be changed to January 1, 2011.
Ms. Toler advised that letters to the poll workers had been sent and scheduling for training was
underway.
The next meeting of the Board will be its regular meeting on April 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
Ms. Taylor moved to adjourn. Mr. Currin seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 3:35 p.m.
