ABSENTEE AND REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
June 1, 2010
5:00 P.M.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary James Currin and Member Louise Taylor.
Also present was Sherre Toler, Director.
Chairman Massey called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Minutes:
Mr. Currin moved to approve the minutes of April 27, 2010, May 4, 2010 (9:00 a.m.), May 4,
2010 (5:00 p.m.), May 11, 2010 (10:30 a.m.), May 11, 2010 (11:00 a.m.), and May 11, 2010
(closed session). Ms. Taylor seconded. Approved without dissent.
Business:
Ms. Toler advised that the following meetings are scheduled: June 8, 2010 at 5:00 p.m., June 15,
2010 at 5:00 p.m., June 22, 2010 at 9:00 a.m., June 22, 2010 at 5:00 p.m., June 29, 2010 at 10:30
a.m. and June 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
Ms. Toler advised that 88 absentee by mail ballots had been mailed out to date. Early voting will
begin on June 3, 2010. Ms. Toler also advised that the State Board approved the resolution
reducing the early voting hours for the 2nd primary.
Ms. Toler advised the Board that five poll workers per precinct had been assigned. As two more
chief judges could not work for the 2" primary, newer poll workers were assigned to those
positions in addition to staff.
The next meeting of the Board will be June 8, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
Mr. Currin requested Ms. Toler send a letter to the principal at Triton regarding the students who
worked the primary.
Mr. Currin moved to adjourn. Ms. Taylor seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
