REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
July 27, 2010
3:00 P.M.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary James Currin and Member Louise Taylor were
present.
Also present was Sherre Toler, Director.
Chairman Massey called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Minutes:
Ms. Taylor moved to approve the minutes of June 29, 2010. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved
without dissent.
Business:
Ms. Toler presented the Board with the written request from the Harnett County Board of
Commissioners for a sales tax referendum election to be held on November 2, 2010. Ms. Taylor
moved to schedule the election for that date. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent.
The Board discussed the conference in Asheville.
After discussion, Mr. Currin moved to cancel the August 3, 2010 regular board meeting. Ms.
Taylor seconded. Approved without dissent.
Mr. Massey advised that he received a letter from the Mayor of Angier regarding the letter sent
to the Mayor and the Town Council. He advised that the letter expressed a desire to work
cooperatively with the Board of Elections.
Ms. Taylor moved to reschedule the meeting of October 5, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. to October 12, 2010
at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved without dissent.
Ms. Toler advised that she was discussing possible building relocation with the Commissioners
and the County Manager and would provide more information when available.
The next meeting of the board will be September 7, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
Mr. Currin moved to adjourn. Ms. Taylor seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
