ABSENTEE MEETING MINUTES
April 13, 2010
5:00 P.M.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary James Currin and Member Louise Taylor.
Also present was Sherre Toler, Director.
Chairman Massey called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Minutes:
Ms. Taylor moved to approve the minutes of April 6, 2010. Mr. Currin seconded. Approved
without dissent.
Business:
Ms. Toler advised that as of this date 383 absentee ballots had been mailed. 15 had been
returned properly executed, 61 returned undeliverable and 13 with forwarding addresses. The
Board reviewed the ballots and signed the absentee ballot poll list which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by this reference.
Ms. Toler discussed concerns regarding retaining poll workers and chief judges. After
discussion, Mr. Currin moved that poll worker pay be increased from $125.00 to $135.00 and
chief judge pay be increased from $125.00 to $160.00. Ms. Taylor seconded the motion.
Approved without dissent.
The Board directed Ms. Toler to purchase name badges for the Board members.
The next meeting of the Board will be its absentee meeting on April 20, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
Ms. Taylor moved to adjourn. Mr. Currin seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
