REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
March 3, 2009
12:00 p.m.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary Walt Titchener and Member Louise Taylor.
Also present was Sherre Toler, Director.
Minutes
The Board reviewed the minutes of February 3, 2009. Ms. Taylor moved to approve. Mr. Titchener
seconded. Approved without dissent.
New Business
Ms. Toler reviewed all line -items of the proposed budget and explained the necessity of the funds
requested. After discussion, Mr. Titchener moved to approve the budget as recommended. Ms. Taylor seconded.
Approved without dissent.
Ms. Toler also advised that she had reviewed the costs on the fee schedule and the costs of the labels
needed to be increased by .30 per sheet due to higher purchasing costs. Ms. Toler also recommended increasing the
cost of a fax to .20 cents per page. Ms. Taylor moved to approve the increases. Mr. Titchener seconded. Approved
without dissent.
The Board was presented with a resolution prepared by the Wake County Board of Elections providing that
for Town of Angier elections, each county would conduct its own elections for the relevant portions of the town.
Ms. Taylor moved to adopt the resolution. Mr. Titchener seconded. Approved without dissent.
Ms. Toler advised the Board that she received a letter from the Town of Lillington requesting that only one
polling place be utilized for the town elections in November. After discussion, Ms. Taylor moved that Ms. Toler
request a waiver from the State Board of Elections. Mr. Titchener seconded. Approved without dissent.
The next meeting of the Board will be on April 7, 2009 at 12:00 noon.
Mr. Titchener moved to adjourn. Ms. Taylor seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 1:10 p.m.
