ABSENTEE MEETING MINUTES
June 16, 2009
5:00 p.m.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary Walt Titchener and Member Louise Taylor.
were present.
Also present was Sherre Toler, Director.
Chairman Massey called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes of June 9, 2009 (regular meeting) and June 9, 2009 (absentee
meeting). Mr. Titchener moved to approve. Ms. Taylor seconded. Approved without dissent.
The Board reviewed the list of absentee ballots. Ms. Taylor moved to approve the list as
presented, incorporated herein and attached hereto by this reference. Mr. Titchener seconded.
Approved without dissent.
Ms. Toler advised the Board of ongoing budget meetings and requests for departments to reduce
their budgets 5%. After discussion, the Board agreed that it would prefer to cut a portion of the
monies requested to move polling places and a portion of the monies for additional one -stop sites
so as to have the least impact on voters. Ms. Taylor moved to approve that amendment to the
proposed budget. Mr. Titchener seconded. Approved without dissent. Ms. Toler prepared a
report reflecting that proposal which the Board signed.
The next meeting of the board will be its absentee meeting at 5:00 p.m. on June 23, 2009.
Ms. Taylor moved to adjourn. Mr. Titchener seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
