REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
r April 7, 2009
12:00 p.m.
Present were Chairman Walter Massey, Secretary Walt Titchener and Member Louise Taylor.
Also present was Sherre Toler, Director.
Chairman Massey called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m.
Minutes:
The Board reviewed the minutes of March 3, 2009 and March 23, 2009. Mr. Titchener moved to approve.
Ms. Taylor seconded. Approved without dissent.
New Business
Ms. Toler provided the Board with copies of maps containing recommendations regarding polling place
changes. Ms. Taylor questioned whether or not a precinct may be divided and only part of it merged with another.
Ms. Toler was directed to get a definitive answer from the State Board to provide at the meeting in May. The Board
agreed to review the maps and proposed changes and have further discussion at the May meeting.
Ms. Toler advised the Board that the request regarding combining Lillington and Neill's Creek for the
municipal election must be made after the county board is appointed/reappointed in June of 2009.
The next meeting of the Board will be on May 5, 2009 at 12:00 noon.
Ms. Taylor moved to adjourn. Mr. Titchener seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 12:50 p.m.
