ABSENTEE MEETING MINUTES
October 23, 2007
5:00 p.m.
Present were Chairman William Randall, Member Walter Massey and Secretary
Walt Titchener.
Also present was Sherre Toler, Director.
Mr. Randall called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.
Minutes:
Mr. Titchener moved to approve the minutes of October 2, 2007, October 9, 2007
and October 16, 2007. Mr. Massey seconded. Approved without dissent.
New Business:
Ms. Toler presented the Board with the mail -in absentee ballots received and the
list of one -stop voters for the November 6, 2007 election. A list of the voters is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Mr. Massey moved to approve those
ballots. Mr. Titchener seconded. Approved without dissent.
Ms. Toler advised the Board that Bart Adams had written an editorial concerning
Mr. Clark's protest and indicated that perhaps Dunn should have at least 2 polling places
for town elections. Mr. Massey indicated that Dunn has always had one polling place for
the town elections.
Ms. Toler discussed poll worker training. The Board agreed that the current
format was the most effective and should be continued on the training on the 27t'. Mr.
Titchener suggested that the parry chairs should be invited so they may see what is
involved with the poll workers.
The next meeting of the Board will be on October 30, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.
Mr. Massey moved to adjourn. Mr. Titchener seconded. The meeting was
adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
