Candidate Chuck Levorse, and Tom Woerner of the Harnett County News were also present. Five teams of pollworkers including 1 Dem and 1 Rep for each team were present. Sherre Toler, Director was also present. Mr. Randall called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. New Business: Ms. Toler explained that there was a problem with the initial reporting of absentee ballots. On election night, votes had to be manually subtracted and in doing so the numbers were incorrectly reported. She advised that the problem was with the software but had been fixed. The teams of poll workers began inserting ballots. The final tallies were as follows: Anderson Creek, Black River, Barbecue, Johnsonville, Erwin/Duke, Coats/Grove; Lillington; Neills Creek; Northwest Harnett, West Averasboro and One -stop all matched exactly. East Averasboro showed 1 additional vote for Stroud and 1 additional ballot counted in the total. It appeared from the election day tapes that the ballot was not included in those final totals. Boone Trail upon examination it appeared that 1 canddidate lost vote that showed as a no vote during the recount and 1 candidate lost a vote to 2 ballots being run through together. The total was one less ballot than was counted on election day. Stewarts Creek showed 1 vote less for Stephens and 1 additional overvote. Provisionals showed 1 additional no vote and 1 less vote for Stroud. Absentees matched the corrected totals as previously explained. The Board of Education race outcome did not change. Mr. Levorse graciously conceded to Mr. Matthews. The next meeting of the Board will be its regular monthly meeting on December 12, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. Mr. Tew moved to adjourn. Mr. Massey seconded. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 4:45 p.m. Approv d"y- aWilliam Roy Tew, Secretary Walter Massey
