SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
November 14, 2006
8:00 a.m.
Present were William Randall, Chairman, Secretary Roy Tew and Member Walter
Massey.
Three teams of pollworkers including 2 Dem and 1 Rep; 2 Reps and 1 Dem and 1
Dem, 1 Rep and 1 Unaffiliated for each team were present.
Sherre Toler, Director was also present.
Mr. Randall called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
New Business:
Ms. Toler that each team would be conducting a hand -eye recount of one precinct
in one race only the Duke/Parker Judicial Race. Ms. Toler explained that each team
member would take a turn as caller and they would each tally and then call for
approximately 1/3 of the ballots. At the conclusion, Stewarts Creek showed an additional
vote for Duke which was originally counted as a no -vote and Anderson Creek showed an
additional mark for Duke which was from a circle on the ballot around the name. No
other discrepancies were found.
The next meeting of the Board will be its Canvass meeting on November 17, 2006
at 11:00 a.m.
Mr. Tew moved to adjourn. Mr. Massey seconded. The meeting was adjourned
at approximately 11:00 a.m.
