REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
July 11, 2006
3:00 p.m.
Present were William Randall, Chairman, Secretary Roy Tew and Member Walter
Massey.
Sherre Toler, Director was also present.
Mr. Randall called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.
Minutes:
Mr. Tew moved to approve the minutes from May 9, 2006. Mr. Massey
seconded. Approved without dissent. Mr. Tew moved to approve the minutes from June
13, 2006. Mr. Randall seconded. Approved without dissent.
Old Business:
The board discussed attending the conference in Asheville. Mr. Randall indicated
that he would try to attend. Mr. Massey and Mr. Tew indicated they would have to check
their schedules and would let Ms. Toler know prior to August 4.
- Ms. Toler advised that she had sent an email to ES&S to try to obtain ballot
pricing for November but as yet had received no response.
Ms. Toler advised that the State Board was soliciting public comments regarding
the various forms and procedures. She indicated that she posted a comment regarding the
ATV form regarding observers and confidential information.
Ms. Toler advised that she and staff completed the absentee results by precinct
and that all numbers matched appropriately.
New Business:
Ms. Toler advised that she wanted to use the new Agriculture Building for poll
worker training if available. The Board directed Ms. Toler to inquire as to possible dates
and availability.
The next meeting of the Board will be its regular monthly meeting on August 8,
2006 at 3:00 p.m.
Mr. Tew moved to adjourn. Mr. Massey seconded. The meeting was adjourned
at approximately 3:40 pm.
