Minutes of Special Meeting
April 27, 2007
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session at 8:30 a.m. on
Friday, April 27, 2007, in the Commissioners Conference Room, County Administration
Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington, North Carolina.
Members present: Dan B. Andrews
Tim McNeill
Gary House
Staff present: Neil Emory, County Manager
Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
Mr. Emory presented for the Board’s consideration a proposed resolution related to
financing of school projects. The title of the resolution is:
Resolution of the County of Harnett, North Carolina Amending A Resolution Approving
An Installment Financing Contract To Provide For the Acquisition, Construction,
Furnishing And Equipping Of Certain Projects Set Forth Therein And The Refinancing
Of Certain Previously-Financed Projects. Commissioner McNeill moved to adopt the
resolution as presented. Commissioner House seconded the motion and it passed
unanimously. (Attachment 1)
Congressman Bob Etheridge dropped by and gave an update on school financing issues
and what role the Federal Government might play.
The Board of Commissioners and Mr. Emory left for the 2007 Agricultural Issues Forum
at the Johnston County Agricultural Center.
