Minutes of Special Session
June 23, 2011
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Thursday,June 23, 2011,
in the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front Street,
Lillington,North Carolina.
Members present: Timothy B.McNeill, Chairman
Beatrice B. Hill,Vice Chairman
Dan B. Andrews, Commissioner
Gary House, Commissioner
Jim Burgin, Commissioner
Staff present: Scott Sauer, County Manager
Tony Wilder, Deputy County Manager
Dwight Snow, Staff Attorney
Sylvia Blinson,Finance Officer
Margaret Regina Wheeler, Clerk to the Board
Chairman McNeill called the meeting to order at 9:00 am and led the pledge of allegiance and
invocation.
The proposed Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Budget Ordinance and fee schedule were distributed to
commissioners. Following discussions, it was the unanimous consensus of the Board that staff
go back and prepare a budget with no tax increase. Chairman McNeill called for a meeting to be
scheduled on Monday, June 27th for the Board to reconsider the revised proposed budget.
Commissioner Andrews moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:35 am. Vice Chairman Hill
seconded the motion that passed unanimously.
