Chairman Burgin called the meeting to order at 9:00 am and led the pledge of allegiance and
invocation.
The following agenda was before the Board:

f) December 17,2012 Regular Meeting Agenda Review
Commissioner Hill moved that the Board go into closed session 1)to discuss matters relating to
the location or expansion of industries or other businesses in Harnett County; 2)to consider and
give instructions to the County's legal counsel concerning the handling of certain legal claims
including the following case: "County of Harnett vs Randy C. Rogers and Gary A. House"
Harnett County File No. 12 CVS 890; and 3)to discuss certain personnel matters. Staff Attorney
Jennifer Slusser and Special Counsel David Senter shall attend the closed session. The motion is
made pursuant to N.C. General Statute Section 143-318.11(a)(4)(3)&(6). Commissioner
Springle seconded the motion which passed unanimously.

Commissioner Miller moved that the Board come out of closed session. Commissioner Springle
seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Chairman Burgin left the meeting during
closed session but returned before the meeting adjourned. Vice Chairman House led the
remainder of the meeting.
Vice Chairman House moved that the Board go back into closed session to discuss matters
relating to the location or expansion of industries or other businesses in Harnett County. Finance
Officer Sylvia Blinson was invited to attend the closed.session. The motion is made pursuant to
N.C. General Statute Section 143-318.11(a)(4). Commissioner Springle seconded the motion
which passed unanimously.
Commissioner Springle moved that the Board come out of closed session. Commissioner Miller
seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Commissioner Hill moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Springle seconded the motion
which passed unanimously.
