May 6, 2013
The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Monday, May 6,2013, in
the Commissioners Meeting Room, County Administration Building, 102 East Front Street,
Lillington,North Carolina.
Members present: Jim Burgin, Chairman
Beatrice B.Hill, Commissioner
Joe Miller, Commissioner
C. Gordon Springle, Commissioner
Member absent: Gary House, Vice Chairman
Staff present: Tommy Burns, County Manager
Joseph Jeffries,Deputy County Manager
Tony Wilder,Deputy County Manager
Jennifer Slusser, Staff Attorney
Sylvia Blinson,Finance Officer
Margaret Regina Wheeler, Clerk to the Board
Immediately following the regular meeting, Chairman Burgin reconvened in special session to
discuss the 2013/2014 proposed budget.
The following agenda was before the Board:
- CCCC,Dr.Bud Marchant and Dr.Phyllip Price
- Fire/EMS Departments requesting increases:
1) Erwin—EMS
2) Coats—Fire/EMS
3) Benhaven—Fire/EMS
4) Dunn EMS
Commissioner Hill moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:45 pm. Commissioner Springle seconded
the motion which passed 4 - 0.
