OF THE CITY OF DUNN CITY COUNCIL
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO DEAN GASTER
UPON HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Dean Gaster retired on January 1, 2019 as Public Works Director with the City of
Dunn with more than 11 years of service; and
WHEREAS, Dean began his career with the City of Dunn on August 1, 2007 as Public Utilities
Director; and
WHEREAS, Dean was promoted in April, 2016 to Public Works Director, where he served
until his retirement; and
WHEREAS, Dean has proven himself to be a dedicated and efficient public servant who has
gained the admiration and respect of his fellow workers, employees and the citizens of the City
of Dunn; and
WHEREAS, Dean has worked faithfully and diligently; one that you could depend upon to do
whatever it took to get the job done; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Dunn are desirous on behalf of
themselves, the other City officials and employees, and the citizens of the City of Dunn, of
expressing to Dean Gaster their appreciation for the service rendered by him to the City over
the years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Dunn City Council that we
extend to Dean Gaster our deep appreciation and gratitude for his dedicated service to the City,
and our very best wishes for continued success, happiness, prosperity and good health in his
future endeavors.
This Resolution shall be incorporated into the official Minutes of the City of Dunn, and shall be
in full force and effect from and after this 81h day of January, 2019.
