RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
DISPOSITION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY
WHERAS. County of Harnett (the "County") owns the following motor vehicle, utilized
by the Harnett County Emergency Services Department:

WHEREAS, such vehicle is now obsolete and surplus to the needs of the County;
WHEREAS, said vehicle have little of any, value on the open and public market;
WHEREAS. Harnett United Police Athletic League ("HUPAL"), located in Harnett
County, could utilize such vehicle for the transportation of their members, which are the Harnett
County School's youth.
WHEREAS, the transfer of such vehicle to HUPAL would provide for and promote the
safety and welfare for the youth of the Harnett County Schools.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS, that the Harnett County Emergency Services shall be and is hereby
authorized and directed to take any such actions as might be necessary and advisable to transfer
the above-referenced vehicle to Harnett United Police Athletic League, without consideration,
pursuant to the provisions of North Carolina General Statute 153-176.
Duly adopted this the 1st day of May, 2017.
