The Harnett County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Monday,
March 17,2003, in the Commissioners' Meeting Room, County Administration
Building, 102 East Front Street, Lillington, North Carolina. .

Staff present: Neil Emory, County Manager

Kay S. Blanchard, Clerk to the Board
Board of Education: Dr. James Bennett, Chairman

BOB staff present: Donald Andrews, Superintendent
Dan Honeycutt, Assistant Superintendent
Robert Troutman, Finance Officer
The purpose of the meeting was for the Board of Commissioners to meet jointly with .
the Board of Education and its administration staff to discuss current and long range
plans of the Board of Education and School System.
At 4:00 p.m. Vice Chairman Hill and Board of Education Chairman Dr. James
Bennett, called their respective boards to order.
After a general discussion, the two boards agreed to meet again to explore possible
solutions to specific needs. A date for the meeting will be announced.
There being no further business, the joint meeting ofthe Harnett County Board of
Commissioners and the Harnett County Board of Education adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
