Reference: Septic System Design
Nehemiah Building Ministries Church on Hwy. 55 near Coats
Dear Mr. Peterkin,
A site investigation has been conducted for the above referenced property to design an
initial septic system for the proposed 350-seat church. The design daily flow is 1050 gallons per
day (3 gallons/day/seat). This report represents my professional opinion but does not guarantee
or represent permit approval for any lot by the local Health Department. The permit you receive
from the Health Department may contain some modifications or amendments to our submitted
design. Please carefully review your permit and adhere to all prescribed requirements.
The initial septic system is proposed as 660 feet of unequal length 25% reduction status
(1;Z Flow or chamber) drains utilizing a long term application rate of 0.4 gal/day/ft2. A
pressure-manifold will be needed to distribute effluent to the six proposed drainIhm (see
attached Design Specifications). The drainlines should be installed off contour with trench
depths ranging from 18 to 26 inches below surface. The first line should start at 22.8 inches and
shallow to 18 inches below surface. The second line should start at 24.5 inches and shallow to
18 inches below surface. The third line should start at 22.1 inches and shallow to 18 inches. The
fourth line should start at 23.3 inches, will shallow to 18 in the middle, then deepen to 19 inches
below surface at the end. The fifth line should start at 24.8 inches, will shallow to 18 inches in
the middle, then deepen to 22 inches below surface. The sixth line should start at 18 inches,
deepen to 24.2 inches, then shallow to 20.4 inches below surface. The septic tank should be
sized to held at lust 1728 gallons of effluent 'T`he pump tank should have at least 1152 gallons
capacity. So it is likely that an 1800 gallon septic tank and 1201 gallon pump tank will be used
for this project.
An additional 334 feet of drainline space is available in the same vicinity as the initial
system. This area is not adequate to provide a full repair area but could be beneficial as partial
repair area in the future. However, adequate space to more than 100% repair the initial system
should it fail is available on the rear half of the property, across the creek (see map).

Potential septic systems drainlines have been demonstrated with various colored pin flags
that are located on the lot. It is important that you do not disturb the septic system area It is
recommended that a staked line or protective face be placed around the system to eliminate any
potential damage to the soil or the layout of the system.
This report and the attached septic system design information will need to be submitted to
the County Health Department for review and the permitting process. I appreciate the
opportunity to provide this service and hope to be allowed to assist you again in the future. If
you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
*ee-04-

The underground electric line will be routed around the septic system. The attached septic system design has been
modified to reflect this change.
