04272012220 MINUTES CITY OF DUNN DUNN, NORTH CAROLINA The City Council of the City of Dunn held a Special Call Meeting on Friday, April 27, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. in the Dunn Municipal Building. Present was Mayor Oscar N. Harris, Council Members Buddy Maness, Billy Tart, Chuck Turnage and Billy Barfield. Also present was City Manager Ronnie Autry, Assistant City Manager Steven Neuschafer, City Clerk Debra West, and Daily Record Reporter Brian Haney. Absent: Mayor Pro Tern N. Carnell Robinson, Council Member Bryan Galbreath and City Attorney P. Tilghman Pope. ��✓ INVOCATION Mayor Harris opened the meeting at 8:00 a.m. and gave the invocation. Afterwards, the Pledge of Allegiance was repeated. ITEMFOR DECISION Consideration of Resolution Approving NC Catalyst Grant Application — Harnett Training School Campus City Manager Autry explained that this special call meeting was necessary to provide Housing Consultant Scott Redinger with all documentation necessary to submit to the North Carolina Department of Commerce Community Investment and Assistance (NCDCI) for Catalyst Funds in the amount of $500,000 to aid in the preservation and adaptive reuse of the Harnett Training School Campus. Deadline for submission of the DCI application is April 30'. Two public hearings were held by the Council, the first one on February 7, 2012 and the second one on March 13, 2012. In reviewing the Catalyst Grant application, it was discovered that the Council had not passed a resolution authorizing submission of the DCI application and this was a necessary component of the application documents. Motion by Council Member Turnage and seconded by Council Member Billy Tart to adopt a Resolution f Approving the NC Catalyst Grant Application. Motion unanimously approved. A copy of Resolution �•.•./ (R2012 -11) Approving the NC Catalyst Grant Application for the Harnett Training School Campus Project is incorporated into these minutes as Attachment #1. With no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Council Member Barfield and seconded by Council Member Billy Tart to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 a.m. Motion unanimously approved.
