CITY OF DUNN
DUNN, NORTH CAROLINA
The City Council of the City of Dunn held a Special Call Meeting on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 8:00
a.m. in the Dunn Municipal Building. Present was Mayor Oscar N. Harris, Mayor Pro Tem N.
Carnell Robinson, Council Members Buddy Maness, Bryan Galbreath, Billy Tart, Chuck Turnage
and Joey Tart. Also present was City Manager Ronnie Autry, Planning and Marketing Director
Steven Neuschafer, Recreation Director Perry Hudson and City Attorney P. Tilghman Pope.
INVOCATION
Absent: City Clerk Debra G. West
Mayor Harris opened the meeting at 8:00 a.m. and asked Council Member Turnage to give the invocation
Afterwards, the Pledge of Allegiance was repeated.
ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
AND /OR DECISION
Appoint Two Replacements on
Dunn Community Development
Corporation Board
Mayor Harris explained that before the Council today is the appointment of two replacements on the Dunn
Community Development Corporation. Mr. Randy Cruse (structural engineer and design build) and Mrs.
Patsy Powell (real estate and business woman) are proposed to replace Ms. Carolyn Elmore Brewington
and Mr. Eric Sinclair.
Motion by Mayor Pro Tent Robinson and seconded by Council Member Turnage to appoint Mr. Randy
Cruse and Mrs. Patsy Powell to the CDC and to name Clem Medley as Chair and Dallas `Bo" Dafford as
Vice -Chair of the CDC. Motion unanimously approved. A copy of the Articles of Incorporation for
Dunn Community Development Corporation is incorporated into these minutes as Attachment #1.
With no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Council Member Billy Tart and seconded by
Council Member Maness to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 a.m. Motion unanimously approved.
