The Board of CountyCommissionersmet in an adjouned session on
1st., at 10;00 O'clock A.M. with all members present.
Raymond G. Sessoms was appointed Electrical Inspector of Harnett County to
fill the unexpired term of J. L. Bishop, deceased, subject. to approval of State
Board of Electrical Contractors, and said Board is hereby requested to approve
him; Motion carried
Upon motion of Commissioner Ingram, seconded by Commissioner Lassiter, the
following Resolution was unanimously adopted:
Be IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF HARNETT COUNTY That B. E.
Strugill, C. E. Moore, Wade Stewart, A. W. Olguinn and Stanley Byrd be and they
are-each hereby appointed as Rural Law Enforcement Officers for=Harnett County to
serve at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners;

AND BE IT- FURTHER RESOLVED
shall receilue as compensation
Stanley Byrd shall receive as
said law enforcement officers
That B. E. Sturgill, C. E. Moore and Wade Stewart
the sum of $250 per month and A. W. 0"luinn and
compensation the sum of $225 per month, and each of
shall receive a travel allowance of $125 per month;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESBLEED'_That each of said rural law enforcement officers s
shall obtain and file with the Clerk of this Board a performance bond in the amount
of 52,000 payable to the State of North Carolina for the proper and lawful dis-
charge of their duties as law enforcement officers, before entering upon their
duties.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said rural law enforcement officers shall
serve under the direction and supervision of ,the Sheriff of Harnett County, and
said Sheriff shall have the authority to suspend any offieer_for good cause and
such suspension shall remain efective until acted on by the Board of Commissioners.
The Board recessed to reconvene on Monday, July 6th. 1953.
