03241952 (2)134 MINUTES OF BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW FOR 1952. MARCH 24, 1952 The County Board of Commissioners convened and sat as a County Board of Equal - ization and Review for their First meeting of 1952 on Monday March 27th, at 10 :00 in the court house at Lillington, N. C. All members were present. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, L. A. Tart. Before entering upon their duties each member of the board of Equalization and Review took and sub- scribed to the following oath and filed the same with the clerk of the County board of Commissioner: I, , do solemnly sweat that I will faith- fully discharge my duties. as a member of the Board of Equalization and Review of Harnett, County, NorthCarolina, and that I will not allow my actions as a member of said board to be influenced by a personal or political friendship or obliga- tion. This the 24th day of March, 1952. Berles C. Johnson, Clerk MARCH 24, 1952 All townships on the North side of cape Fear river were heard, only a few taxpayers appeared b efo-re the board. All were given due consideration and three of these cases were asked to be rechecked by the County Apprasial Board. The Board of Equalization and Review did not make any changes in any appraised:_ property at the meeting. The Board recessed for the second and final meeting to be held on April 15th, 1952. April 15, 1952: The County Board of Commissioners conveihed as a board of Equalization and Review for their second and final meeting for 1952. All members except Commissioner Pate were present. All townships on the south side of Cape Fear river were heard. No taxpayer presented a case as being dissatisfied with his values . Some few did not understand the procedube on setting up values on new property or on segregated values. All complaints having been heard and review the Board of.
