The Board of Commissioners of Harnett County met in a call session on Friday
June 6th. at 2:J0 F. M. witn L. A. dart Chairman, Worth Lee Byrd, B. P. Ingram
and H. S. Holloway present. Also present was Inez Harrington, Clerk to Board.
Worth Lee Byrd moved, seconded by H. S. Holloway that C. R. Ammons ce and
he is hereby appointed County Farm Agent for Harnett for a term of 1 year and
T. D. Ol uinn e and he is hereby appointed Asst. Arent for a term of 1 year.
Motion carried.

The Board of Commissioners met in a call session on Thursday June 12th.
at 2 :00 P. M. with L. A. Tart, Chairman, B. P. Ingram, H. S. Holloway and
Worth Lee Byrd present, R. L. Pate was absent on account of illness. Also
present were 'd. A. Johnson, County Attorney, and Inez Harrington, Clerk to
the Board.
Miss vvilma Williams Supt. of Welfare and the entire staff of the Welfare
Department appeared before the Board and requested that Harnett County come
under the Social Security Act and that staff be given an increase of ti.20.00
per month in salary.
After due consideration the Board of Commissioners denied both request.
