A special called meeting of the Harnett County Board of Commissioners was
held on Wednesday, November 2nd.,_ 1960 at 2 :00 o'elOek P. M. for the purpose
of letting contracts for a New Boiler and Boiler - House. Bids were submitted by
twelve (12) different contractors, and after all bids had been opened it was
found that W. J. Jewel & Sons of Sanford, N. C. was the lowest bidder for
construction and that W. M. Wiggins & Co. Inc. of Wilson, N. C, submitted the
lowest bid for the mechanical contract; thereafter upon motion of Commissioner
Byrd and seconded by. commissioner Cameron•it was voted unanimously to award the
said contracts to the firms stated above.
