06161960378 June 16th. 1960 The Board of Commissioners met in a call session on Thursday June 16th. at 7:30 P. M. with all members present except Joe Curran who was absent. Present also was the Clerk to Board, the County Attorney and the Auditor. The Following Petitions Were Approved: (1) To add to State Maintained secondary Road system approximetely 1000 feet in the Beasley Sub- Division, Averasboro Twp. The road connects two State maintained roads. (Petition given to Mr. Tart) (2) To pull up and gravel that road in Neill's Creek Twp., which runs from Highway 210 to 1516 known as John Green road, a distance of 5/10 miles (Petition mailed) The Budget for year 1960 -61 was discussed and planned for adoption. The Board recessed to reconvene on June 7, at 7:30 P. M. A study of the County Budgets for year 1960 -61 was made by the Commissioners and an explanation by the Auditor was made to the Board. Upon the mottos; f CommtS over Byrd, 5ecanded^-by Commissioner Cameron, it was ordered that the Harnett County. Welfare Department bring -a civil. suit as plaintiff against Carbarrus County ad defendant in the matter of Sie]ney Jacobs legal residence and further asking the court to order Carbarrus County to reddi- burse Harnett County for all sums expenses in__the case. of Sidney Jacobs._ Motion carried.
