The Board of County Commissioners of Harriett County met on Friday, June 13th.
at 10 :00 4. M. with all members present. Also present were the County Attorney,
theAuditor and the Clerk to the Board.

Commissioner Cameron moved,/ by Commissioner Curran, that the tax rate for
the year 1958-59 be and it is hereby set at $1.59. Motion carried.
Mrs. Mary L. McAllister, Southeastern District Agent, appeared before the
Board and introduced Mrs. Fonroze Johnson Gore and recommended that she be
appointed Harnett County Assistant Home Demonstration Agent.
The Board ordered the County Offices closed on Friday July 4th.
Commissioner Womble moved, seconded by Commissioner Pleas n that Mrs.
Fonroze Johnson Gore be and she is hereby appointed Assistant a onstration
Agent for Harnett County to begin her duties on July_lst. 1958, at a salary
of $164.00., per month. Motion carried.
Commissioner Cameron moved, seconded by Commissioner Womble, that Mrs.
Ruby I. Parker be and she is hereby appointed Home Demonstration Agent for
Harnett County to begin her duties on
at a salary of $230.50 per month. Motion carried.
