The Board of Commissioners met in a call session on Monday, August 12th., 1957.
Present were Commissioners L. A. Tart, Alex Cameron, J. E. Womble and Jarvis
M. Pleasant. Also present was the Clerk to theBoard. Commissioner Joe Currin was
absent.
Commissioner Alex Cameron moved, seconded by Commissioner J. E. Womble, that the
salary of delinquent tax collector be $275.00, per month, with travel expense of
$125.00, per month. Motion carried.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, A. E. Lasater Jr. was elected delinquent'
Tax Collector, beginning his duties on September 1st. upon presenting bond in
the amount of $5000.00, term to end June 30th. 1958.
