MAY 16th. 1966 The County Board of Commissioners convened as a Board of Equalization and Review for their third and final meeting for 1966. All Commisdioners were present except Mr. H. M. O'Quinn. The County Attorney was present.` Mr. Archie Taylor appeared before the Board in behalf of Norwood Brick Co. located in Lillington Township concerning buildings located on the 11 acres tract known as plant site. All buildings valued $316.604. was reduced to $285.961. due to the fact that in 1964 one old dryer and four round kilns were torn down and removed. Also Mr. Taylor appeared before the Board for the 1132 acre tract located in Lillington Township valued $31,095. reduced to $11,950. for this reason: - Whereas it appears that the Norwood Brick Co. property is valued for tax purposes to include a commercial caly deposit and due to regulations im- posed by the Town of Lillington it is impractical to process the said clay deposit and that, therefore, the said Norwood Brick Co. is entitled to an adjustment in the variation of the effected property.
