06271966477 June 27th. 1966 The Board of Commissioners met in a call session on Monday, June 27th. at 7 :30 P.M., with all members present. Also present were bhe County Attorney and the Auditor. M. H. Brock, Chairman, called the meeting to order. Budgets of the various offices were carefully studied. Commissioner Womble moved, seconded by Commissioner Mixon, that the tax rate for the county of Harnett for the year 1966 -67 be fixed at $1.19. The motion was unanimously carried. The 1966 -67 Budget Resolution was placed on file in the Register of Deeds office for a period of 20 days. INTERIM APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF HARNETT COUNTY: Section 1: That in order to operate the county and its subdivisions from July 1, 1966, to the date of the adoption of the 1966 -67 Budget Resolution, appropriations are hereby made for the purpose of paying salaries, the principal and interest on indebtedness and the usual ordinary expenses of the county and its subdivisions until the adoption of the 1966 -67 Budget Resolution. This resolution shall cease to be effective from and after the adoption of the 1966 -67 Budget Resolution, and all expenditures made in accordance with this resolution shall be chargeable to the appropriations made in the 1966 -67 Budget Resolution. Adopted as of the 1st. day of July, 1966. The Board of Commissioners approved Form FHA 400 -1 of the United States Department of Agriculture, Farmers Home Administration Equal Opportunity Agreement dated June 24th. 1966 with Harnett County Planning Board. The Board of Commissioners approved Form FHA 400 -4 of the United States Department of Agriculture, Farmers Home Administration Nondiscrimination Agreement (under title VI, Civil Rights Act of 1964) dated June 24th. 1966 with the Harnett County Planning Board. The appointment of W. Earl Jones is to continue at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners, as Tax Collector of Harnett County. The Board adjourned P. Chairman
