The Board of Commissioners met Monday, June 3rd. with all members present.
Also present were the County Attorney; the .Auditor and the Clerk to the Board/
The Following Reports Were Approved:

Elizabeth Matthews Clerk Spperfiar Court
Kyle Harrington Clerk Recorders Cpurt
Inez Harrington Register of Deeds
Jean Maness Veterans Service Office
Ken Black Dog Warden
Roy Godwin Electrical Inspector
Mr. C. R. Adams, Harnett County Farm Agent, appeared before the Board. and
presented the agricultural Extension Service program Budget requests for the year
1963 -64 for consideration.
Mr. Proffitt_:'and members of the Board of Education met with the Board
and explained the School Budget for the year 1963 -64 for consideration.
The Board of Commissioners accepted the resignation of A. W. O'Quinn, Rural
Policeman, to become effective July 1st, 1963.
Mrs. Margaret Randall, Librarian for Harnett County, appeared before the Board
and presented the Library Budget rota the year 1963 -64.
Commissioner Cameron moved, seconded by Commissioner Barefoot, thbt the special
term of Superior Court scheduled for July Sth. and July 15th. be cancelled.
Motion carried.
Dr. Melvin F. Eyerman, Health Director, presented the tentative budget for
1963 -64 for the Health Department for consideration.
Commissioner Warren moved, seconded by Commissioner Byrd, that D. P. Ray, Jr.
be and he is hereby appointed Tax Collector for Harnett County for a term of
1 year.
Motion carried
Commissioner Warren moved seconded by Commissioner Byrd, that Thomas Allen
be and he is hereby appointed Tax Supervisor Of Harnett County for a term
of 2 years.
Motion carried.
The Board recessed.
