JANUARY 7th. 1963
The Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, January 7th.,
1963, at 10 :00 A. M. with all members present. Also present were the County
Auditor, the Clerk to the Board and the County Attorney.

Upon recommendation of Thomas Allen, fax Supervisor, B. F. Kendall was re-
leased as list taker in Hector's Creek Township, and Mrs. Edith Holloway of
Kipling was appointed as list taker in said Township
Commissioner Byrd, moved seconded by Commissioner Barefoot, that the listing
time for taxable property in Harnett County be extended through February 15th.
Motion carried,
The Board ordered that Albert L. Smith of Dunn be refunded the sum of
$25.00 paid to HarnettCounty for License for Pool Table, due to the fact that the
building for the Pool room could not be rented and that a pool table will not be
operated.
The Following Road Petitions Were Approved:
(1) To add to State System that street in Erwin known as West K. Street
a distance of 1/4 mile.
Petition mailed.
(2) To add to the State System that road in Shawtown, Lillington Township,
which runs from Charlie Yarbrough's to Charlie Bailey's, a distance of 1/2 mile.
Petition mailed.
(3) To hard surface that road and pave that road in Averasboro Township
which runs from Jonesboro Road to Highway # 35
Petition given Dallas Hudson fur presentation.
Commissioner Cameron moved, seconded by Commissioner Warren, that appointment of
both Dog Wardens be extended through January 15th.
Motion carried.
