Boyce P.O. Box 81 Pittsboro, NC 27312 NC Licensed Soil Scientist # 1241 NC Registered Sanitarian # 1353 Harnett County Environmental Health Attn: James Manhart R.E.H.S. 307 Cornelius Harnett Blvd. Lillington, NC 27546 Re: VAhitey's Country Store, 4298 Christian Light Road Dear Mr. Manhart, An evaluation was completed on the above referenced property on October 2, 2013. The purpose of the evaluation was to determine the ability of the soils to support a subsurface waste disposal repair area. All ratings and determinations were made in accordance with "Laws and Rules for Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems, 15A NCAC 18A.1900 ". The above referenced tract was evaluated by auger borings and landscape position. Typical soils are twenty -four inches of sandy loam over a sandy clay loam to sandy clay for forty-eight inches or more. A loading rate of .3 gpd/sgft can be assumed. The new operators wish to open a grill and have sixteen chairs. In order to accomplish this, the existing septic system would have to be expanded. The flow of sixteen seats and three employees would be 715 gpd. The existing system would have to be expanded to 800 linear feet of drainline. Existing lines can be lengthened to' 150' and add a 200' line beneath the system. A pressure manifold would be required using 4 — %2 inch SCH 40 taps and 1— % inch SCH 80 tap. The existing septic tank could be used as a grease trap, the existing pump tank could be used in series with a new 1000 gallon septic tank, and a new 1500 gallon pump tank would be required. Repair would appear to be low pressure pipe. Areas for repair would be located from the fuel tanks, road, and property line. An additional area is between the fuel tanks and the storage building, Over 9000 square feet exists in these areas. This report does not guarantee or represent approval or issuance as needed by the local health department. This report only represents my opinion as a licensed soil scientist. I trust this is the information that you require at this time. If you have any questions, please call. Sincerely, Thomas J. Boyce SOIL SCE I p,s 1. Fiji rf O `` NORTH GP¢ 40 ✓a.
